Physical activity and active mind

Friday 21st of October, Ageing Better with an Active Mind launched the second workshop of the series. The “Physical activity and active mind” workshop consisted in a talk leaded by Dr David Marchant in which he discussed topics such as the mechanisms in which physical activity affect cognition and which are the best type of physical activity for the ageing population emphasising that the social aspects of physical activity play an essential role in wellbeing.

Over 40 guests attended the workshop, 10 more than the first one. Based on the increasing attendance and the positive feedback it is only fair to believe that the guests are enjoying the discussions and that they find them informative and helpful.

The third and last workshop of the series dedicated to emotional health, ageing and the social world will be launched Friday 11th of November, we hope that it is as successful as the two other sessions and that the feedback is positive and constructive so we can organise other similar projects in the future.
